A) Winding
Unscrew the crown until it releases into the 1st position. Turn the crown clockwise to manually wind after storage. Generally we advise to restrict this and make use of the automated winding which will take place during the motion of your wrist while wearing the watch.
B) Setting the Date
Unscrew the crown and pull to the second position, then turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Once finished, push the crown in and screw down completely.
Warning: using the Date function when the main Hour Hand is between 8pm–2am can cause serious damage to the calendar gears of the internal movement and such damage is not covered under warranty.
Your GMT watch allows you the flexibility of tracking up to three (3) different time zones, practical not only for the world traveller but also following people or events around the globe. The three zones can be defined as follows:
- ZONE 1: Main/local time (the primary HH/MM hands)
- ZONE 2: GMT time (the secondary GMT hand read against outer 24-hour bezel)
- ZONE 3: GMT offset time (introduced by rotating 24-hour bezel reference to GMT hand)
Historically the GMT hand is intended to reference GMT+0 or ZULU time. By introducing an offset to ZULU time you can quickly track any of the world standard time zones without adjusting the GMT hand. For example, New Zealand is represented as GMT+12, Tokyo GMT+9, or New York GMT-5. A complete list of these world times can be found here.
C) Setting the Main Time
Unscrew the crown and pull to the 3rd position, then turn the crown until the current time is set. To prevent movement damage, move hands only in a clockwise direction. Once finished, push the crown in and screw down completely. Set the primary time before proceeding to set the GMT.
D) Setting GMT
Unscrew the crown and pull to the second position, then turn the crown clockwise to adjust the GMT hand. Once finished, push the crown in and screw down completely. The GMT hand is set independent of the main hand and can be adjusted without interrupting timekeeping.
E) Adjusting the 24 hour Bezel to the 3rd Time Zone
The 24-hour bezel can be turned to adjust the GMT hand reference to an alternative (third) time zone. To restore ZULU time simply re-zero the bezel.
